Service Description: This map enables the user to view, select and display information on the quantitative status of groundwater bodies as reported under the Article 13 of the Water Framework Directive (WFD). The data can be viewed as pie charts, showing the statistics of status aggregated at the Member State level or alternatively at River Basin District level. Furthermore the status of groundwater bodies can be viewed in detail at water body level. Data are derived from the EU27 WFD Master database. The user is able to specify the geographical area and water bodies in which he is interested by making selections from the map and from lists. The results of the query can be viewed on-line, or printed.When the user selects the top level query ‘Quantitative status of groundwater bodies‘, the default entry view should be one pie chart per country, representing different quality classes of quantitative status as defined under the WFD. Information is based on data reported under the Article 13 of the WFD. Alternatively, the user can view similar statistics, as mentioned above, at RBD level. When the user zooms in to the scale 1:10 000 000, the information on the status for single water bodies are displayed.Data source:
